About The Solo Set
The Solo Set, led by singer and guitarist Frank McKernan, offers a polished and professional live music experience tailored perfectly for weddings, functions and corporate events.
With over 20 years of live performance experience, Frank brings a combination of musical ability, industry knowledge, and crowd awareness to every celebration. His career began at a young age, fronting original bands that toured Ireland, England, Scotland, and The Netherlands as well as performances at major festivals such as The Isle of Wight Festival and Bestival as well being a supporting act for many artists such as The Undertones, Aslan and Bob Marley’s Wailers. Frank brings a level of musicianship, professionalism and reliability that only comes from a lifetime on stage.
Frank holds a First Class Honours Degree in Music from the University of Chichester, where he specialised in live performance, recording, music theory and the music industry. This training allows him to perform songs confidently across a wide range of styles whilst always delivering a clean and professional sound.
Between 2016 and 2020, Frank built his reputation as a solo live musician and DJ in Gran Canaria, entertaining international audiences night after night. An experience that refined his ability to read a room and keep the dancefloor full.
Most recently, from 2021 to early 2026, Frank was the lead singer and guitarist with multi award-winning Irish wedding band Infinity, performing at venues all over the country and gaining valuable insight and experience. His familiarity with Irish wedding venues and schedules means that couples can relax knowing that their big day is in safe and experienced hands.

Frank can be booked for a full evening reception, 2-hour live show with the option to add disco entertainment, to ensure continuous music and a packed dancefloor all night long. Frank also offers a 2-hour live acoustic set, creating the perfect atmosphere for drinks receptions and more relaxed occasions.
The Solo Set offers a full PA system and professional lighting and is suitable for events up to 250 guests.
